Equipment
The Resource staff have a wide range of specialist equipment at their disposal. Two portable sensory trolleys and a soundbeam trolley supplement the equipment housed in our main sensory suite. Classrooms in the foundation stage and Key Stage 2 and 3 have also been equipped as sensory stimulation areas. The resource base and nine further classrooms have all been acoustically treated to provide the best possible listening environment for our pupils with a hearing impairment.

Two class based CCTV’s, two portable ‘traveller’ CCTV’s and two electronic pocket magnifiers are available for pupil use and a test box enables us to regularly electro-acoustically test hearing aids for any problems. A Zyfuse machine allows us to create raised images for the pupils and personal lap tops, reading slopes, enlarged keyboards and on task lighting are also provided as required.
